What makes a pendant industrial?
Simple, robust shapes; exposed bulbs or cages; and materials such as raw or enamelled metal, concrete, copper and fabric-covered cable. Black, copper, antique brass and grey are the typical finishes.
Bulbs
Many industrial pendants show the bulb, so choose a decorative LED filament or globe bulb. A 2200K–2700K amber or warm filament gives the classic look.
Layout
Industrial pendants look best repeated in a row over an island, bar or long table. Space them 60–80 cm apart and hang them 75–90 cm above the surface.
Mixing styles
Balance metal shades with softer materials such as wood, linen and plants, so the room does not feel cold.
