Where to use them
Concrete soffits, timber and beamed ceilings, rental properties and anywhere you cannot cut into the ceiling. Cylinder downlights also look deliberate in modern, industrial and retail interiors.
Height and size
Taller cylinders give deeper glare control; shallow designs sit closer to the ceiling. The height and diameter are in the product name (for example h011 is 11 cm) and on the product page.
Spacing and beam
Space them as you would recessed downlights, roughly the ceiling height apart. Narrow beams suit accents; wider beams give general light.
Finishes
White and black are the most common; Look also comes in brass and paintable plaster.

Yes; the beam and output depend on the LED and optic, not the mounting.

Look plaster (gesso) versions are designed to be painted.
