Ring, branch or sputnik?
LED rings give an even light and sit well in rooms with lower ceilings. Branch and globe designs spread light in every direction and suit square rooms. Sputnik designs are a mid-century classic and make a strong statement.
Low ceilings
Ring and flat branch designs sit closer to the ceiling and suit rooms of 2.4–2.6 m. Keep 2.1 m clear headroom where people walk underneath.
Integrated LED or bulbs?
LED rings such as Gemini have the light built in and come in on/off and DALI or push-dim versions. Globe designs take bulbs, so you can choose the colour and brightness.
Over a dining table
Choose half to two-thirds of the table width and hang the bottom 75–90 cm above the table.
