Which colour temperature?
2700K is warm and homely; 3000K is warm but crisper and suits kitchens; 4000K is neutral and suits offices and workspaces. The colour of an integrated LED is fixed unless the fitting is tunable, so choose before ordering.
Does it dim?
Not every integrated LED pendant dims. Ideal Lux offers on/off, phase-dimmable, DALI and push-dim versions of many designs (for example Oz and Oracle Slim). Use the Control filter and check the product page.
Integrated LED or a bulb?
Integrated LED gives slimmer shapes, better optics and less maintenance. A replaceable bulb gives flexibility to change colour or brightness later. Our guide compares the two.
Running costs
Integrated LED pendants use far less energy than halogen or incandescent lighting and produce little heat, which also makes them comfortable to hang low over a table.
Questions
Can I replace the LED in an integrated pendant?
Usually not by the user. Integrated LEDs are designed to last the life of the fitting.
Are LED pendants dimmable?
Some are. Check Dimming on the product page or use the Control filter.
What does DALI mean on a pendant?
It is a digital control system used in commercial and larger homes. DALI versions need a DALI controller.
Are LED pendants bright enough for a kitchen?
Yes. Check the lumen output on the product page; 800–1,500 lumens per pendant suits most islands.
